Chalk Paint Cork Board Makeover

I found (picked) a slightly broken organizer at Goodwill for $3.99. I used two coats of abusion blue and painted a wood applique from Michaels $2.99 in Arles. Nailed a cork board but a chalk board would have been nice too. Will make a great bill and reminder caddy. It was EASY PEASY!

Chalk paint old desk makeover

Here is a great idea for anyone with outdated 1970′s furniture. This space saver was ugly but who doesn’t love a corner desk and a beautiful hutch to display their purdies on..as my granny would say.

I didn’t sand or prime this desk. I used Annie Sloan Cream and Provence. Two coats, sanded, waxed with clear and viola!
